Doha Corniche 4406 9921
About UsDoha’s ever-changing skyline has quickly become one of the most well-recognized in the world. With each new structure, more breathtaking than the last. The concrete and glass jungle that stretches along the start of the Corniche firmly ingrains itself the minds of all who visit. Corniche, meaning ‘road by the bay’, is a seven-kilometre promenade that runs parallel to the crystal blue waters of the Arabian Gulf. Lined with towering palm trees, public parks and iconic modern art, the waterfront is a regular spot for a coastal weekend stroll. Although impressive during the day, the Corniche is even more of a spectacle after sunset. The limitless colour spectrum is truly magnificent, with the bright lights of the city reflecting off the tranquil waters of the bay in spectacular fashion. If the bracing sea air isn’t enough you can take to the waves on one of the authentic dhow boat rides. In escaping the hustle and bustle of the city for just 15 minutes, the view from the water is arguably even better, and a great way to spend the evening with friends or family. If you plan on visiting during the day, take care, the temperature can catch you off guard if you’re not armed with both water and sunscreen. However, if you do find yourself in need of some respite from the Arabian sun, make sure to pop into the Museum of Islamic Art and soak up some culture before you brave the heat once more.
